Canva.com is a free graphic-design tool website. It has an easy to use drag-and-drop interface and provides access to over a million photographs, graphics, and fonts. It is used by non-designers as well as professionals. The tools can be used for both web and print media design and graphics.
TinyPNG.com uses smart lossy compression techniques to reduce the file size of your PNG files. By selectively decreasing the number of colors in the image, fewer bytes are required to store the data. The effect is nearly invisible but it makes a very large difference in file size!

I have been using Canva for awhile now and it is excellent. It is easy to use and even if you decide to use a picture that you have to pay for it is only $1.
I only discovered TinyPNG recently and it is really great. prior to finding it I put a plugin on my website that caused a lot of problems. Thanks for the great video about these excellent tools.

Hi Margaret, I’m glad I could help. There are a lot of plugins for image optimization, I still use them as well, but always compass them with TinyPNG first.
Thanks for the comment.

Pinterest is a very good source to get quality traffic. I’ve known that for a long time now but never really got into it, because I didn’t know how to create good images to attract users. I think this is my missing part. I’ll bookmark this video. It will help me a lot to drive a lot of traffic to my website from pinterest!

Thanks for the short and easy tutorial on how to create pinterest images.
I have always used Gimp as my go to source for creating graphics and images — but I might try and use canva more often now.
Also with pinterest, does it help you get a lot of viewers on your website?

Hi Michael, thanks for your comment and question on “How To Create Pinterest Images Quick & Easy” .The cool think about Canva is you can use it for all your social media designs and they have the right size for each image/graphic. Plus Canva its free and easy to use.
Yes Pinterest can and will help drive traffic to your sites. There are a lot of cool features to Pinterest, I like how they use photo recognition and mach photos that look a like. I haven’t use Pinterest’s ads yet, but it’s something to look in to.

Hi Greg, thanks for the information on Pinterest. I have recently joined and had no idea I should reduce my file size etc. Could this be why some of the pictures I upload onto Pinterest come up so huge? I guess I’m very new to online marketing and social media and have a lot to learn. I also love Canva as I created a fantastic logo for my website on there and thoroughly recommend it for its many different options and fonts.

Hi Stefanie, thanks for the comment and the question.
Pinterest like other social networks has a size limit for their photos.
735 px X 1102 px is the ideal width and length for Pinterest. The size we are reducing here with tiny PNG is the file size in kb/mb. This is done to speed up website loading times, the actual width and length of the photo will not change.
Hope that helps,
Greg
