First of all, You need a reference to join the pi network and start mining – feel free to use my code if you want to try out the app: Mousatos

Pi cannot be traded yet, but more information on how the currency is eventually envisaged to be used and traded you can take a look at the Pi Network’s white paper, which is available on the app.

From my experience it seems that the development of the app and Pi Network has been following the vision set out in this document and it is quite clear that this network has a long-term vision and goal – it is not just another quick scheme. At the very least this makes the intention of the developers seem legit and encouraged me to give it a try. Is the actual currency is legit? I suppose that depends on what your definition of “legit” is. In my view, it will be legit if it does what the white paper envisages for it- which will only be determined in time.

Regarding the installation of the app and mining of Pi, there is really nothing to lose by joining the network at this stage.

My experience with the app is summarised in a pros and cons list here below.

Pros:

The app is free.

It runs in the background even when it is closed (doesn’t drain resources).

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the app really doesn’t drain your device’s battery.

Cons:

You need to “click” the app once every 24 hours, to ensure that you are human and active. Whilst a schlep the app can send you push notifications when the 24 hour period has lapsed.

You need a reference to start mining.

Overall I do not think that anyone stands to lose anything from downloading the app and my opinion is to give it a try- at the very least I find it quite exciting to be a part of something new and potentially revolutionary. It seems that this platform has a lot of potential and I am keen to be part of the ride.

Thanks for this useful information

Maybe it’s not a scam but I don’t trust them anyway, because other then with BTC it is Pi Network that controls your account. They can delete it at their sole discretion. Actually your account is at risk right now because they have to deal with lots of fake account which NEED to be deleted. EACH account can be found suspicious based on criteria unknown to us. It can also be yours!

Thanks for presenting this thorough review of the Pi Network app.  This whole crypto-currency stuff is foreign to me.  I’ve been looking around trying to figure it out when I came across this review.  So it’s not a scam, but it’s just new technology, so I guess it is hard to know if it will be fruitful.   It seems to have decent reviews, and I like the fact it’s a free app.  Thanks for all the info!

Hi Greg,

To be honest, internet is full of information about Cryptocurrency. I get a lot of promotional emails and come across ads about mining cryptocurrency and doubling cryptocurrency etc.

I lost $1500+ in trying different business related to cryptocurrency so I am afraid and skeptical. Recently came across Pi Network and because of the increased number of scams I prefer to do some research before making my decision. Your review is a greater help and saved my time.

I also tried CryptoTab and it’s legit but the earnings are very slow and I am not good at referring people lol.

The video you embedded is super helpful and informative.

Wow… Amazed with good ratings and thanks for sharing. As you mentioned, there is nothing to lose and it’s free to join I will give it a try. The CON “Could amount to nothing” is a bit concern.

The Pi Network is great so far, I’ve earned 2000 Pi to date and keep getting more and more just for logging in once a day.

Hi Greg. Thanks for sharing Pi Network reviews. Pi Network looks like a legit opportunity to make some extra cash as a side hustle. My fear right now is I hope I Pi Network is not a total waste of time since you didn’t talk about how the payment is like and how we are being compensated for every referral we bring into system.

    Greg · November 14, 2019 at 11:21 pm

Thanks for your input. There’s no guarantee they’ll be any payments ever. It doesn’t cost me anything to do. Each referral increases your mining rate. I’m close to 2000 Pi now as we speak. We will just have to wait and see.

Jerry · November 13, 2019 at 2:55 am

Thanks for your review on Pi Network, a company apparently facilitating crypto currency mining. I guess it has some appeal that you do not risk anything by using this network. It raises the question though how they make their money. You wrote there is no guarantee of making any money, but I would like to know what the earning potential is and what time frame this is supposed to be happening. What do you yourself hope to gain with this opportunity?

    Greg · November 14, 2019 at 11:25 pm

Thanks for your comments and questions. Cryptocurrencies are tricky. There’s no way of knowing if this will turn out to be anything but all I do is log in once a day on my phone and mine.

Jasmine · November 13, 2019 at 2:48 am

Hey gregg. Thanks for this informative article. I’m not very familiar with mining crypto currency, so it’s good to know that there are apps our there to make it easier. Would you recommend this app for newbies in crypto? It would be nice if this app also had tutorials or videos on how to use this app to get the best results possible.

    Greg · February 12, 2020 at 2:37 pm

Yes, this app is great for newbies, You don’t really need any tutorials for it as everything is on the app. use invite code: greg1

    Thanks

You never know if Pi could become the next Bitcoin and make you rich, I guess it’s worth it to try. It does seem like there’s big potential for it to be worth something in the near future, and downloading the app takes very little time and energy. It would be pretty cool if one day this thing takes off in a big way and you have 700Pi in your account which could be worth 4, 5, or even 6 figures depending on how big it gets. Thanks for the heads up.

Christine · November 13, 2019 at 2:41 am

Hi,

How many Pi’s do you need to start making money on PI network? You mentioned that you have 700 pi and that it is equal to $0 … So, I was just wondering about that. Otherwise it seems pretty easy to use. So, mining basically means that you log in and that’s it? The app just has to keep on running? If sign up is free, then perhaps I should try it out, just to see how it goes 😊

Thanks for this review!
